Cambridge Renovation
This home’s transformation began with a challenge: a tired two-family house with cramped rooms, outdated systems, and structural issues. With no insulation, aging wiring, and insufficient heating, it was clear the house needed more than just a facelift—it needed a fresh start.
Stripped to the studs, the home was reimagined as a thoughtfully designed single-family residence, prioritizing comfort, efficiency, and timeless style. The new airtight yet well-ventilated structure is equipped with an energy-efficient heating system and solar panels, bringing it close to net-zero energy use.
Drawing inspiration from Japandi design—a blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth—the interiors embrace simplicity, natural materials, and a sense of visual order. Clean lines, a neutral palette, and carefully curated details create a home that feels calm, balanced, and effortlessly inviting. Every element is designed with purpose, proving that a modern family home can achieve the perfect harmony of livability, budget, and style.
